Nick Duda: Public Safety Is the Foundation

"I've been a liberal my entire life. I was the most liberal of my friends when I moved out here 14 years ago, and my politics didn't change. I guess I'm a Seattle moderate now."

King County Council candidate Nick Duda joins Charlie Harger in the Seattle's Morning News studio to lay out why he's challenging Teresa Mosqueda for a seat on the council. After a 20-year private sector career — the last eight years in data analytics — and a year working inside Seattle City Hall as a policy staffer for Council Member Rivera, Duda says he saw enough to convince him the region needs new leadership on three defining issues: public safety, the public health response to addiction, and fiscal accountability for how tax dollars are spent.
