The 9/11 Footage They Never Let Anyone See
Twenty-five years ago, Seattle couple Tami Michaels and Guy Rosbrook checked into a corner suite on the 35th floor of the Millennium Hilton in lower Manhattan — a room booked for its view of the World Trade Center, just a block away. They had come to New York for business and brought a brand-new video camera, still wrapped in plastic. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, an explosion tore them out of bed, and Guy began to film.
In this KIRO Newsradio special, Charlie Harger sits down with Tami, Guy, and their daughter Amanda to share their firsthand account of that morning — the images they witnessed from a few hundred feet away, the phone call a mother made to her daughter back home, and the injuries Guy didn't know he'd suffered until the adrenaline wore off. Their footage has been used as evidence to prosecute terrorists, including at the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, yet the couple had never authorized anyone to show the pictures publicly — until now.
