Your PSE Bill Went Up 12% this Year and Now They're Asking for More?!

Puget Sound Energy raised electric rates roughly 12% this year and pinned it on the Climate Commitment Act. Now PSE has asked the Utilities and Transportation Commission to raise rates nearly 30% more by 2029.

Washington has collected nearly $4 billion from the CCA since 2023. The Washington Policy Center's review of the state's two main climate accounts found more than 70% of the money went to growing government and planning — not on-the-ground projects. Starting this month, you'll see the carbon cost broken out as its own line on your bill. Charlie Harger on what the receipt is about to tell you.
