Two local startups have been selected to pitch at the upcoming State of GovTech 2026 in Maryland.
Seattle-based Govstream, an AI-driven permitting intake, and Bellevue-based Samora AI, a multilingual voice AI for citizen information lines, are among the 11 startups that will pitch at the seventh annual national government-technology summit.
The event will be held Sept. 9-10 at the Silver Spring Civic Building in Montgomery County. It’s expected to draw more than 200 attendees, split roughly evenly between public-sector leaders and the entrepreneurs, investors, and industry practitioners who serve them.
The pitch competition is one part of a two-day agenda centered on working sessions. Attendees will draft AI use policies, run live cybersecurity-breach simulations, and work with peers to resolve unresolved problems from their own jurisdictions.
Registration is free for government employees. The full agenda and registration can be found here.
