Bellevue startup Auger has raised $50 million in Series B funding, bringing the company’s total funding to $150 million.

Founded by former Amazon executive Dave Clark and his wife, Leigh Anne Clark, the company uses artificial intelligence to help businesses make faster supply-chain decisions. Clark was quoted as saying in a recent GeekWire article that while today’s AI can generate insights, running a supply chain requires a level of expertise for which general-purpose AI wasn’t built.

As a result, Auger developed software designed specifically to understand how supply chains work and make routine decisions automatically. Most other similar software alerts companies when there’s a problem and waits for someone to respond, the GeekWire article noted.

If a supplier misses a shipment, the platform can identify the shortage, determine which customers to prioritize, shift inventory where it’s needed, and update existing systems before an employee has to step in.

That approach is already being used by sports retailer Fanatics, where Auger manages about 85% of supply-chain decisions.

The company is also working with several businesses through pilot programs and contract negotiations and was recently named a premier supply-chain partner on Microsoft Fabric.

Auger plans to continue expanding as it brings new customers, with Clark setting a goal of having half of U.S. GCP flow through the company’s platform by 2030.
