The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce recently announced that its president and CEO, Ryan Crowther, will be stepping down from his position after four years of leadership.
Crowther is parting with the chamber to become CEO of Apex Everett, a historic venue that specializes in live music and private events.
During his time at the organization, Crowther supported the chamber’s growth by adding more than 130 businesses and organizations to its membership, according to a release from the organization.
“Ryan stepped into this role at a critical moment for our organization and community,” Glenda Krull, chair of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, was quoted as saying in a My Edmonds News article. “His leadership, vision and commitment to Edmonds have positioned the chamber for continued success. We are grateful for his service and excited to see him take on this new opportunity.”
While Crowther will continue to direct the chamber through its summer-event season, his final day with the organization will be Sept. 6 following Edmonds’ annual Block Party and Classic Car and Motorcycle Show.
According to a release from the organization, the chamber’s board of directors has launched a regional and national search to fill Crowther’s role and urges anyone who knows a community-focused leader who would make a good fit to encourage them to apply through the chamber’s website.
“It has been an incredible honor to serve the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce and the businesses, organizations, and community members who make Edmonds such a special place,” Crowther said in the My Edmonds News article. “Our team and organization navigated significant challenges, built strong partnerships, and created momentum that will benefit the chamber for years to come. I am deeply grateful for the support of our members, volunteers, board, and staff. I’ve built lifelong friendships and will always feel a sense of home and pride when I come to Edmonds.”
