Greater Seattle Partners recently announced that eNeural Technologies Americas, Inc., a Taiwan-based embedded AI company, has chosen Bellevue for its North American headquarters.

Over the next three years, the company plans to invest about $3.5 million in the greater Seattle area. The new headquarters are expected to create around 30 local jobs — more than half of which will consist of artificial-intelligence engineering positions. The office will be the company’s center for customer engagement, partnerships, business development, and engineering throughout North America, according to a press release.

eNeural Technologies develops self-learning, low-power AI which enables advanced capabilities to be used directly on edge devices, minimizing cloud-infrastructure reliance, the release said. The company serve a wide swath of sectors, including transportation, logistics, and enterprise technology.

“Greater Seattle offers a unique combination of world-class AI talent, global technology leadership, and proximity to key enterprise customers,” said Jiun-In Guo, founder and chairman of eNeural Technologies, in a release. “Establishing our North American headquarters in Bellevue — with strong support from the Washington State Department of Commerce and local government economic-development partners across the greater Seattle region — positions us close to leading enterprise-technology companies, global-logistics innovators, and strategic customers while providing access to one of the most innovative technology ecosystems in the world.”

eNeural intends to focus its hiring efforts on local artificial-intelligence engineers and technical professionals, and hopes to later expand the capabilities of the Bellevue office to be an edge-AI research and development center, with the capacity to support more than 500 employees across the next 10 years.

“We’re proud to welcome eNeural Technologies to Bellevue’s growing international innovation ecosystem,” said city of Bellevue Councilmember Lynne Robinson in the release, “Their work in edge AI — bringing intelligence closer to where data is generated — reflects the kind of real-world problem solving that defines our region. Bellevue is proud to be a place where global companies can launch, grow and lead.”
