This Iconic NYC Toy Store is Coming to Bellevue

New York City toy store FAO Schwarz is opening a new Nordstrom Bellevue location tomorrow.

The business is celebrating its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will have entertainment, toy demonstrations, treats, and other interactive activations. The store’s design, which it calls “The Jewel Box,” is meant to harken back to the company’s flagship store in New York City and is meant to be a dollhouse version of that store.

Bellevue’s Nordstrom location is one of eight other Nordstroms across the country that will be adding the toy store to its branch.

“FAO Schwarz represents imagination and joyful discovery, which aligns naturally with how we think about creating meaningful experiences for our customers,” said Tacey Powers, Nordstrom’s executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes, kids, and home, in a release earlier this year. “By partnering with a retailer that shares our vision for thoughtful curation and immersive retail moments, we’re able to create something truly special — inviting customers of all ages to engage, explore, and experience the joy of shopping. We’re excited to work together to bring FAO Schwarz’s magic to Nordstrom customers nationwide.”
