Decibel 2013

Let me start off by saying this: I love electronic music! In highschool (’93-’95) I liked some electronic music – The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, The Prodigy – but it wasn’t until I moved to England in 2004 and was immersed in the electronic sound that was being played on every radio station and in every club throughout the small town of Wakefield in which I lived, that I found an appreciation for it. Ambient? Yes, please. Dance? Yep. Trance? Oh, yeah. Whatever you got, I’m sold.

Decibel is the one festival you need to attend if you, like me, enjoy all genres of electronica. Now in its 10th year, the festival is as big as ever with an eclectic mix of over 100 performers representing over 20 countries who will be setting up shop all around the city of Seattle. Official showcases will be taking place across 10 premier venues in Seattle’s Capitol Hill and downtown neighborhoods. Party time, folks.

The first and second wave of artists have already been announced with the third wave to come this August 6th.
