A 19-year-old man was twice shot in the leg after he reportedly tried to rob another man in Seattle’s New Holly neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Shots were heard near MLK & Othello around 1:30 p.m.
Witnesses told officers the man tried to rob another man outside of a store. The target of the robbery drew a gun and opened fire.
Medics took the gunshot victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers stopped a suspect vehicle a few blocks away and are still searching for a gold sedan that was seen fleeing the area. A car was stopped on I-405, but police later said it’s not connected to the shooting.
Martin Luther King Way was closed from Myrtle to Othello for the investigation.
