2 people shot in Seattle; suspect surrenders to police after SWAT negotiation

A suspect surrendered to police Saturday afternoon after two people were shot in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, the Seattle Police Department said.
Seattle police first tweeted about the shooting, which happened near 12th Avenue and South Jackson Street, around 12:30 p.m.
Police are at the scene of a shooting near 12th Ave S/S Jackson St. Two victims reported at this time. Police are currently looking for a suspect, please stay out of the area. More info when available.
A man and a woman were transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
The shooting suspect was found by police at Rainier Avenue South and South Charles Street. He then barricaded himself in a car and a SWAT team began negotiating with him.
The suspect surrendered around 2:40 p.m.
