A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck off of Orcas Island this morning.

The USGS reports the quake happened at about 5:02 a.m. about 6 miles east of the island.

There is no tsunami warning issued.

USGS said the quake was about 10 miles deep.

It was felt strongly on Orcas Island, with one KIRO 7 viewer reporting that the large boom sounded like a tree had fallen on their home.

Two other KIRO 7 viewers wrote in to say they had felt it in Snohomish and Mill Creek.

People who felt it said the shaking lasted for about 10-15 seconds.

No injuries or damage has been reported so far this morning.

This follows a series of small quakes around the region last week.
