911 calls reveal terror of Seattle home invasion

Mar 14, 2012, 1:31 PM | Updated: Mar 15, 2012, 9:28 am

While a convicted rapist broke into a Seattle home and
bound six University of Washington students at knife
point, two others were able to call 911 for help.

In just released recordings of calls to police, you can
hear screaming as a terrified co-ed tells the dispatcher
the attacker is taping up her roommates and threatening
them.

Dispatcher: “What threats?”

Caller: “I’ll stab you.”

Caller: “He’s taping her somewhere, I’m afraid he’s going
to come find me.”

Dispatcher: “We’ve got several officers. We got about four
cars outside the house, OK? What do you think he’s doing
to her?”

Caller: “He’s taping her.”

Dispatcher: “She’s hearing someone screaming from what
part of the house?”

Caller: “No, she only heard yelp. It sounds like he’s
going around to all the different rooms and, like, yelling
at people.”

Police were able to swarm in the house and arrest the
suspect before he could physically injure any of the young
women.

Prosecutors charged Robert Hitt with nine counts of
burglary, robbery and kidnapping and two additional counts
of sexual motivation because he allegedly forced one of
the students to remove her clothes during the attack.
