Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 23-month-old Seattle boy.

Authorities say that Aaron Lopez may be in the company of 24-year-old Daniel Lopez-Andino, the non-custodial parent.

Police say Aaron Lopez’s mother told officers that the boy’s father physically assaulted her, took her purse and car keys and grabbed her son. She saw him buckle the boy into the front seat of her car.

Lopez-Andino is diagnosed as bipolar and is off medication, according to police.

They may be traveling in a 2003 Silver/Aluminum BMW 325I vehicle, with license plate: WA #701ZNB.

Officers spotted the BMW at 39 Avenue S and S Carkeek. They turned on their lights and sirens, but Lopez-Andino ignored them and sped off recklessly.

Because of earlier reports that the boy was not secured in a car seat, officers discontinued their pursuit out of concern Lopez-Andino’s careless driving would cause a crash.

They were last seen in the area of East Marginal Way and Boeing Access.

Aaron Lopez was last seen wearing a gray coat, gray sweats and white shoes.

Lopez-Andino is described as being 5’7″ tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, a black jacket, a white shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of this child, please call 911 immediately.
