The Amber Alert was canceled at 5:42 p.m. on Monday. Washington State Patrol says the boy was found safe and the mother was taken into custody.

Washington State Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a missing 2-year-old boy from Montana.

Troopers say Michael Tschiegg, 2, may be traveling in a 2008 white Honda Accord with license plates: CJH 533.

Police say 2-year-old Tschiegg was taken by his mother, who has serious mental issues. He is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say Tschiegg’s mother is 37 years old. Diana Tschiegg AKA Diana Willis is described as a white female with brown hair and green eyes, weighing 150 pounds, 5’7″ tall.
