As a result of westerns, we’re long used to imagery of arrows taking down cowboys on horses. But cars? Not so much.

One Washington driver got quite the surprise when an arrow flew into the car’s rear window while driving, as a result of its owner shooting the arrow a little off course, to say the least. It shattered the window and landed in the trunk. No injuries were reported.

“A resident of the area was shooting their compound bow and one got away and went through the back window of this car,” Trooper Rick Johnson wrote on Twitter.

The incident occurred near Highway 164 and 196th Ave. in south King County. According to Trooper Johnson, the owner of the bow came forward and is being charged with reckless endangerment. He was reportedly not hunting at the time of the accident.
