Update 11:56 a.m.: 

Stanley Haviland, who went missing on Oct. 5, has now been found in Renton. RPD reports that he has been reunited with his family and appreciates the public’s help in the search.

Renton police are asking for the public’s help to find an Australian man who has been missing for a week.

68-year-old Stanley Haviland was supposed to fly back to Sydney last week, but he missed his flight.

Haviland went to Valley Medical Center Oct. 5 after experiencing severe confusion, where he was treated and discharged the same day. His family has stated that while the hospital called him a rideshare, he did not take it.

Family members told KIRO 7-TV that they traveled to Washington from Australia to retrace his steps and assist local authorities.

“We’ve been close to him all our lives. He’s single. He’s like another dad, we’re like his children,” said Nathan and Andrew Pickering, both nephews to Haviland. “At the moment, we’ve got no leads. Like we’re on zero, so we’re just reaching out to people to help and to come forward.”

Haviland is 5-feet-9 inches tall, approximately 190 pounds with grey/brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen walking south on Talbot Ave in Renton. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
