Bicyclist hit on Seattle’s Capitol Hill

Nov 17, 2014, 11:05 AM | Updated: 12:04 pm

A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on Seattle’s Capitol Hill Monday morning.

Witnesses said a van hit the rider in the 100 block of Summit Avenue East around 10:45 a.m.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Seattle Fire spokesman Lieutenant Harold Webb said the biker should be OK.

“There were some facial injuries. The patient was transported mainly due to mechanisms of the incident of the car versus the bicycle,” Webb said.

Seattle police are investigating the cause of the accident.
