Bigger, better, bolder. That is the theme for Seafair in 2025.

“Seafair is summer,” said President and CEO Emily Cantrell at Friday’s kickoff celebration along the Seattle waterfront.

Seattle Deputy Mayor Greg Wong took part in the event. He said there are three things you can count on in Seattle.

“First is rain until the 4th of July, right? Second is a lot of nude bicyclists in Fremont zippin’ around. And the third is that Seafair is the heart of what we do in Seattle over the summer.”

Fremont Brewing CEO Matt Lincecum unveiled “Seafair Pilsner,” the official beer of Seafair.

“We celebrate hydroplanes, we celebrate and honor our Blue Angels,” Lincecum said. “It’s a light lager, low alcohol so you can drink a lot of ’em.”

Seafair is a multi-week festival

Seafair has become a multi-week festival celebrating all things boating and airshows. Organizers say this year’s festival will have more events, more days, and more ways to celebrate.

The Blue Angels will perform at the Boeing Seafair Air Show August 1–3.

New this year is an air show performance from Bellingham professional aerobatic pilot Melissa Dawn Burns, and a contest hosted by professional wakeboarder Shaun Murray.

Fan favorites are also returning this year, like the Torchlight Run. As the prelude to the legendary Torchlight Parade, the Seafair Torchlight Run invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to hit the streets in costume, and in the company of thousands of parade spectators lining the streets to cheer them on.

Seafair 4th of July will feature fireworks at Lake Union Park and Gas Works Park.

The Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade is set for Saturday, July 26.

Seafair Weekend is Friday, August 1–Sunday, August 3.
