Boeing reports strong Q3 earnings

Boeing’s third quarter earnings were released Wednesday, and the company beat Wall Street estimates by about $0.20 a share.

Boeing reported earnings of a $1.35 per share on just over $20 billion in revenue.

Based on these third quarter results, the company has now revised its estimates for the rest of the year.

Boeing now expects to make between $4.80 and $4.95 per share for the year. That’s about $0.40 more per share than the company was forecasting just three months ago.

Boeing has also upped its revenue forecast for the year to between $80.5 and $82 billion.

Boeing delivered 149 commercial airplanes during the most recent quarter. That’s 22 more than the third quarter of last year.

Net income for the third quarter was just over $1 billion.
