A Bremerton woman was rushed to Harborview Sunday night after being shot by police investigating a fight in an apartment complex.

Two Bremerton officers were checking into 911 calls about a fight when the woman came at them.

“They were confronted by a female that was armed with two knives,” Lieutenant Pete Fisher said. “The female advanced on one of the officers who fired multiple rounds at that suspect.”

The officer that fired the shots has been with Bremerton PD for 17 years. The shooting is being investigated by the Washington State Patrol.

The woman’s condition hasn’t been released.
