Caregiver arrested after autistic man found wandering Bellevue

Police have arrested the caregiver of an assisted living facility after an autistic man was found wandering the streets of Bellevue. (Bellevue Police)

The 34-year-old man was barefoot and wandering around
Bellevue over the weekend. He was taken to the hospital and
listed as a John Doe.
KOMO-TV reports a Bellevue officer
recognized the man and went to his home where the caregiver
was found drunk and asleep on the couch.
The home was littered with debris, including broken glass.
Another patient was found in a bedroom.
The caregiver has been charged with abandonment of a
dependent person.
The man has been fired from the home.
