Charges in Seattle’s 25th homicide of 2012

A Renton man jailed for a stabbing death outside a nightclub in Belltown on last month has pleaded not guilty.
Police say Faustino Cervantes was attacked on Friday, Oct. 26. in a parking lot near 1st Ave. and Bell Street as he and his girlfriend walked to their car. Cervantes had been in a fight outside Tia Lou’s and was trying to leave.
Hever Zuniga-Guzman, 22, is charged with second degree murder, held on $1 million bail.
Detectives are still looking for more suspects. Police have received some video of the suspects and are asking for more footage.
The stabbing was the 25th homicide in Seattle in 2012, which is five more than all of 2011.
