Kansas City is once again home to the loudest stadium in the world after Chiefs fans took the record back from Seattle Monday night in earsplitting fashion.

Screaming fans at Arrowhead Stadium pushed the noise meter to 142.2 decibels, breaking the Guinness World Record set by the 12th Man last Dec. 2 at CenturyLink Field.

A Guinness representative was on hand to document the deafening roar, which was louder than a fighter jet taking off from an aircraft carrier.

There’s no word yet about whether someone in Seattle will mount a challenge to reclaim the title, although it’s likely.

But as many 12s gleefully pointed out soon after, Kansas City can have the record. We’ve got something much better.
