Report: Darigold is moving out of South Seattle headquarters

Northwest dairy giant Darigold is making a move out of its South Seattle headquarters. But it isn’t going far.

The Puget Sound Business Journal’s Becky Monk reports that milk company will be moving its office employees out of its South Seattle headquarters to a much smaller facility in Georgetown. It’s not a far move, but it amounts to cutting the size of its office building by about half.
The co-op’s new Georgetown space is about 37,000 square feet on one floor of the Georgetown Squared building. The old space is about 62,000 square feet. CEO Stan Ryan told the Business Journal that the new space will offer a more collaborative environment for employees, and he expects it will “stimulate teamwork.”
Darigold is a farmer-owned co-op providing dairy products throughout the Northwest. It has more than 800 employees around Washington state, however, the offices in Seattle are mostly administrative.
