“Definitely a quake,” Network Director John Vidale wrote.

The magnitude-3.2 earthquake was recorded at 11:50 p.m. about nine miles east of Bellingham in the Sudden Valley area. Several people reported feeling it.

One person in Ferndale said her house “creaked” and “jolted.”

“I felt it here in Bellingham. I heard a loud rumble, then my home shook for about 5 seconds,” Holly Orban told KIRO 7.

So far there have been no reports of any strong aftershocks.
