Detectives seek help finding suspect in bus stabbing

Detectives have released a photo of a man suspected of stabbing a Metro bus passenger on Christmas Eve in Seattle in hopes someone will help identify him.
The image came from a security camera on the bus, Seattle Police say. The suspect is a black male in his 40’s or 50’s. He was last seen running from the bus, wearing a black jacket and black knit cap.
Detectives also want to talk to any passengers aboard the bus who may have witnessed the attack.
The stabbing happened when a man boarded a Metro bus in downtown Seattle around 6 p.m., walked to the back of the bus and sat down next to the suspect.
The suspect seemed to take offense at how close the man sat next to him and they began arguing. The suspect subsequently pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed the other passenger.
The attacker ran from the bus before police could arrive after the driver stopped near 3rd Avenue and Marion Street.
The victim, described only as an adult male, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
