May 8, 2013, 4:06 PM | Updated: 4:14 pm

Four schools in Edmonds were locked down for about two hours Wednesday afternoon while police searched for a car thief.

According to Edmonds.Patch.com, Edmonds-Woodway High School, Maplewood Parent Coop, College Place Elementary, and College Place Middle School were locked down while police used a K-9 unit to track down a suspect seen in a stolen car.

Officers arrested one person near Pine Ridge Park and they believed a second suspect in the area was armed. That person is still at large.

The lockdown was lifted at 2:45, but the schools alerted parents that buses would likely be late.
