Everett’s minimum wage is set to increase on July 1, following a community-led initiative to increase it from the current $16.66 an hour.

Everett’s minimum wage increase

The revision will require Everett employers with more than 500 employees to be compensated at $20.24 an hour. Additionally, employers that have between 15 and 500 employees will be paid $18.24 an hour.

Employers with 14 or fewer employees will not be affected.

Companies with fewer than 15 employees or an annual gross revenue of less than $2 million will pay the current state minimum wage of $16.66, according to KIRO 7.

Employers also must pay all tips, gratuities, and service charges to their employees.

Everett 7th city to increase wage higher than state’s

Everett becomes the seventh city to implement a wage increase that is higher than the state’s.

Most recently, Bellingham increased its minimum wage to $18.66 in May.
