A boil water notice has been issued for the Fall City area.

According to the Fall City Water District, the notice includes downtown Fall City, Fall City-Redmond Road, Fall City-Preston Road, and David Powell Road.

Fall City Elementary School and Chief Kanim Middle School are impacted. As a precaution, drinking fountains have been shut off at both schools. The district says it is providing bottled water to students and staff, but supplies are limited.

Families are encouraged to send students with water from a safe source.

“Our Food Services team is adjusting operations to ensure school meals can continue to be safely served,” the Snoqualmie Valley School District shared.

Schools remain open and operating on their regular schedules.

Families in affected areas should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, and food preparation until the notice is lifted.

The Fall City Water District has not shared why the boil water notice was issued.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
