Road reopened on SR 9 in Lake Stevens after deadly crash

First responders cleared a deadly head-on crash that had closed all lanes on State Route 9 (SR 9) in Lake Stevens, announced the Washington State Department of Transportation via X.
The collision was blocking both northbound and southbound lanes just south of milepost 16.
On SR 9 northbound & southbound just south of Market Pl (MP 16) there is a collision blocking all lanes.

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue confirmed on social media that the lane closures were due to a fatal crash.
Hwy 9 closed from 20th St SE to Market Pl for a fatality crash. WSP will be investigating. Expect road to be closed for an extended time. https://t.co/Ust9WRI1cS
