Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting of a man at a bus stop Monday night in North Seattle.

Just before 10 p.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting at North 46th Street and Aurora Avenue North, and found the victim on the sidewalk by the bus stop. Officers attempted life saving measures, including CPR, until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The man was later declared dead at the scene.

Witnesses say the victim was arguing with another male at the bus stop when the victim was shot.

The suspect ran from the scene on foot. Seattle police have not released a description at this time. This is an active homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crimes tip line at (206) 233-5000.

This is a developing story.
