On I-90 eastbound just east of I-5 Thursday morning, there was an incident blocking the two right lanes. The Incident Response Team and the State Patrol were on scene of a two-alarm fire in a three-story building under construction above I-90.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said it was causing a visual distraction for drivers, which led in part to the lane closures. There were also embers falling onto I-90 from the fire as the building was above the road.

Just after 6:30 a.m., WSDOT said on Twitter that there were no more embers are falling onto I-90, so the two right lanes will be reopened.
