Troubled former Husky and Seahawk Jerramy Stevens is reportedly in trouble again, this time for an alleged DUI in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old former tight end and his wife, USA Soccer and Seattle Reign star Hope Solo, were in the car when a cop pulled him over for allegedly swerving on the road in Manhattan Beach around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Solo was reportedly “acting belligerent” in the car, while TMZ says Stevens refused to submit to a breath test. He was taken to a hospital for a blood alcohol test and then arrested.

A source reportedly told TMZ both were “a major pain” and police came close to arresting Solo for disorderly conduct, but police say she wasn’t arrested or detained.

A statement from police Tuesday says Stevens was released with a citation to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court in March.

Stevens has been in trouble with the law before.

Growing up in Lacey, he was arrested on drug and assault charges while in high school at River Ridge in Olympia. He allegedly stomped on another teen’s face while a friend hit the victim with a baseball bat during an arranged fight.

He also had a number of incidents at the University of Washington, including a 2000 hit-and-run conviction for crashing into a nursing home.

Stevens was also accused of sexual assaulting a UW sorority member and arrested in 2000, but prosecutors ultimately determined there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him.

He was convicted of DUI in 2007 in Arizona while playing for the Seahawks and given a 30-day jail sentence. The NFL also suspended him for one game. The team did not re-sign him following the season.

Stevens was arrested for marijuana possession in 2010, leading to his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He was arrested in 2011 for allegedly punching two bouncers outside a bar in St. Petersburg, Fla. In 2012, he was arrested again in Florida for allegedly violating the terms of his parole from a previous conviction, the Seattle P-I reported.

Stevens was also arrested in Kirkland in November 2012 for allegedly assaulting Solo the day before their wedding. The two married the next day. Solo denied the accusations and charges were dropped.

Solo has had her own brushes with the law. Earlier this month, a judge in Kirkland dismissed domestic violence charges against her.

She had been arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault following an altercation with her half-sister and 17-year-old nephew last June.

Stevens was in court last week when the charges were dropped, but Solo did not appear.
