A block of Ballard was closed due to a gas leak on NW 64th Street Wednesday afternoon.

The Seattle Fire Department reports 64th was closed between 20th Avenue NW and 22nd Avenue NW.

Residents were allowed back into their homes shortly before 12:30 p.m.

The leak occurred after a water crew struck a gas line.

Nobody was injured.
