Police: Woman crashes car into golf carts, flees from scene before capture

A woman in her 30s was taken into custody after police say she drove on a golf course and struck two golf carts Friday afternoon in Lacey.

The incident happened at the Indian Summer golf course after 2 p.m.

The woman confronted the golfers on the course and a verbal altercation ensued.

Investigators said the woman turned her car around and allegedly struck the golf carts with her vehicle.

Two men in one of the golf carts were injured. A golf course employee was in the other cart and she was not hurt.

Police said the woman ran from the scene, and she was located a few blocks away.

According to investigators, she fought with five officers as she was being taken into custody. She was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and police said she will be booked for multiple felony assaults.
