High-end purses stolen in Tacoma home invasion

Tacoma Police are looking for three suspects in a home invasion robbery of high-end purses worth thousands of dollars.
Police said the robbery happened Tuesday morning at 1:45 a.m. at a home near S 65th Street and Pacific Avenue.
“The three suspects broke down the door and brandished a rifle,” Wendy Haddow with the Tacoma Police Department said. “They held the victim at gunpoint while they removed the purses from her home.”
The robbers stole $10,000 in high-end purses and took off in a vehicle. The victim called 911, and officers responded to the scene.
The victim was not hurt.
“The suspects were all wearing masks,” Haddow said. “However, she does not believe she knows any of them.”
Police believe the crooks might have had knowledge of the purses in the home.
Lumen Field assault
According to Seattle Police, on Saturday at about 8:15 p.m., a suspect followed victims from the Lumen Field parking lot, pulled out a handgun, and started counting down.
Police say the suspect chased the victims with the handgun pointed at them until they could get away and call 911. Officers responded and arrested the suspect nearby where they recovered a firearm.
After investigating, officers determined this same suspect also pointed the firearm at another victim’s head, who took off.
Detectives continue the investigation.
Lincoln Park shots fired
Seattle Police officers responded at about 1:00 am Monday to a report of 15-20 shots fired in the area of Lincoln Park. Officers arrived on the scene and found evidence of a shooting near the north parking lot tree line.
SPD says officers talked with a witness who said he’d seen two suspects leaving the scene on Fauntleroy Way SW in a green pickup with “glowing wheels.” No victims or damage was located.
I-5 encampment fire
According to Seattle Police, Sunday at 11:39 pm, Seattle Fire and SPD responded to a large fire at the encampment along I-5 at 8th Ave South and S Weller St. The fire burned approximately 500 square feet of the encampment with flames reaching 30 feet high, partially igniting trees lining the I-5 corridor.
After the fire was out, SFD searched the remains and found no victims. No private property was damaged, and SFD noted there was nothing suspicious about the fire.
