How honest are you? A new experiment (and marketing ploy) by the makers of Honest Tea finds Seattle ranks sixth in its very unscientific survey.

The company set up unmanned pop-up stands featuring its bottled beverages and asked people to leave $1. In Seattle and Kirkland, 96 percent paid.

That’s slightly less than last year, when the company found 97 percent of people willing to pay. Of the 30 cities surveyed, only Salt Lake City and Oakland were found to be 100 percent honest.

Overall, Seattle tied for sixth with Boston, Cincinnati, and Galveston, Texas.

Brooklyn, Venice, California and New York City’s Chelsea Piers ranked lowest on the list.

According to the company’s website, the experiment found men were more honest than women, skateboarders less honest than bicycle riders, and brunettes paid more often than blondes.
