Husband kidnaps wife’s boyfriend in Queen Anne

Jun 22, 2015, 8:38 AM | Updated: 8:52 am

An intervention went bad after a husband abducted his wife’s boyfriend in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood this weekend.

Seattle police ended up arresting four men in relation to the abduction, after they responded to a 9-1-1 call on Sunday in the 300 block of Queen Anne North.

An intervention was underway at the home and the wife’s boyfriend &#8212 not her husband &#8212 was present. Police asked the boyfriend to leave the intervention because his presence was confrontational.

But as the boyfriend left, away from officers’ eyes, the husband was waiting and assaulted the man. Allegedly with the help of three other men, the husband attacked the boyfriend, tied him up, and put him into his four-door Lexus before driving away. The husband allegedly then committed a hit-and-run at Stone Way North and 40th Street as he sped away.

After hearing word of the abduction, police called the husband and convinced him to turn over his captive and turn himself in. The boyfriend was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained while he was assaulted. Officers arrested the husband and his three suspected accomplices.
