Kitchen & Market, which touts itself as being “much more than a grocery store,” is expanding in Seattle.

The market, known for its meal kits and fresh ingredients, is opening a store in Queen Anne.

Kitchen & Market announced the new location via social media on Wednesday.

“We are beyond excited to officially join the Queen Anne community in early 2027!” the store wrote. “A huge shoutout to everyone who guessed in our last post and shared your excitement and support, it truly means everything to us.

“We also hear you, all the hopes, dreams, and ‘please come to my neighborhood next’ messages!” it continued. “We love getting to hear where you’d love to see us grow. Thank you for being part of this journey with us, we can’t wait to welcome you into our newest home.”

Shoppers will be able to choose from a selection of chef-prepared meal kits, curated grab-and-go items, and fresh produce. Meal kits range from $45 to $65, and include two to four servings.

“This community already feels so special, and we’re truly thankful for the warm welcome,” Kitchen & Market wrote.

Kitchen & Market opens first store at Pike Place Market in 2021

Founder Stephanie King wanted to create her dream grocery store, a European-style market designed to make shopping a pleasant experience. She opened her flagship store at Pike Place Market in 2021, according to Kitchen & Market’s website. She then opened a store in Mercer Island in October 2022, but it burned down in December 2023.

King went on to open a store in Medina in March 2023, a store in Yarrow Bay in August 2024, and then most recently, a store in Eastlake in October 2024.

“She often jokingly describes her store concept as ‘If Dean & Deluca and Trader Joe’s made a Blue Apron baby,'” Kitchen & Market’s website stated.

King is determined to grow her small Kitchen & Market into a national grocery concept.

The Queen Anne store will open at the corner of W. McGraw St. and Queen Anne Ave. N. early next year.
