Two Edmonds School District employees wasted more than 1,500 school lunches to pad their salaries.
The Everett Herald reports the two made extra meals and then threw the food in the trash.
Neither employee is going to face criminal charges. They both resigned before they could be fired.
The district is going to have to pay nearly $4,500 to federal government for the wasted subsidized meals.
