Machete-wielding assailant attacks man in Seattle

A man was stabbed with a machete in Seattle’s International District Thursday afternoon.

Police say they found a 62-year-old man at 7th Ave. S and S. Main Street who had been stabbed in the shoulder and abdomen. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was uncooperative and refused to give officers information about the attack, but police say witnesses described the suspect as a black male, about 6’2″ tall. He has short hair and he’s clean shaven. Police say his machete had a silver blade with a decorative red handle.
