Man in critical condition after being set on fire in Fremont

Seattle Police Homicide/Assault Detectives are searching for a male suspect and his girlfriend after a man was allegedly set on fire in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood Tuesday night.

Police say a witness called 911 around 7 p.m. after spotting a man on fire in the 4500 block of Leary Way NW, near the Ballard Fred Meyer.

The witness extinguished the flames while waiting for first responders.

Seattle Fire medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently in critical condition
