THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — A 40-year-old man was severely injured Saturday night trying to relight a firework.
Thurston County fire officials said he suffered severe injuries to his hand and body. He was attempting to relight a PVC launch/firework when it exploded, officials said.
He’s being treated at Harborview.
Officials ask that the public be attentive to safety this Fourth of July holiday weekend.
