A bomb threat forced the evacuation of Marysville-Pilchuck High School Wednesday afternoon at the site of a deadly shooting last fall that left five students including the gunman dead.

“Just before school ended the school office received a call, with a robotic message, threatening a bomb was on campus,” says Marysville Police Department Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux.

Officers initially swept the campus and bomb detection dogs were brought in.

The threat came just before the scheduled end of the school day. Students were being allowed to go home, while those that don’t drive were evacuated by school bus to nearby Shoultes Gospel Hall located at 51st Ave NE and 116th St NE.

The school cancelled both the JV and Varsity girl’s basketball games scheduled for this evening and will reschedule them at a later date.
