Girl with measles in Snohomish County showed many symptoms

A girl infected with measles had a high fever, full body rash, runny nose, and red eyes when she was brought into the hospital.
Doctor Mark Beatty with the Snohomish Health District says the girl is visiting from another country and became sick last month. By the time she was diagnosed with measles, she had already visited several businesses and health clinics.
The Health Department has contacted businesses to alert them of potential exposures.
Confirmation of the measles infection came on July 6 and the health department worked with the girl’s host family to create a list where the child may have exposed others to measles:

Health officials say anyone who was at one of those locations around the same time as the girl should find out if they have been vaccinated for measles or have had measles previously, and call a health care provider promptly if they develop an illness with fever or illness with an unexplained rash between June 21 and July 12. To avoid possibly spreading measles to other patients do not go to a clinic or hospital without calling first to tell them you want to be evaluated for measles.
Health officials define measles as a highly contagious and potentially severe disease that causes fever, rash, cough and red, watery eyes. It is mainly spread through the air.
