Kent police say an 8-year-old girl taken during a domestic dispute Wednesday morning has been returned home safely and an Amber Alert cancelled.

Police say 37-year-old Hung Bao Nguyen took the child Wednesday morning and disappeared for two days. They say he returned to the area Friday and left her in the care of someone he knew, then fled the area.

Detectives continue searching for the man. He’s described as an Asian male, 5 feet 6 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

In a statement, police say he is wanted for for Harassment, Arson 2 and Assault.

Kent Police continue to ask that anyone seeing Hung Bao Nguyen or his vehicle, a 1998 black Ford F-150 with Washington license B27504V contact 9-1-1 immediately.
