Mobile phone service in and around Skykomish is currently down, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s unclear what’s causing the outage at this time. Anyone in need of 911 service should use a landline if possible.

Technicians expect repairs to take “several hours” in the meantime, with the Sheriff’s Office estimating a 7 p.m. fix.

This is a developing story — we will provide more information as it becomes available
