A small fire broke out inside Billings Middle School in Northgate on Monday morning.

Seattle Fire Department (SFD) crews responded to the 12300 block of 8th Avenue NE around 7:20 a.m., SFD announced.

The fire started in a downstairs bathroom that was quickly extinguished by the school’s sprinkler system.

Crews are currently working on overhaul and ventilating the building.

No injuries have been reported, and SFD noted it had reduced its response.
