Officers arrived at 10th and South Jackson Street around 8 p.m. to find the woman still armed with a handgun. The two officers fired their weapons, striking the woman. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

No officers were injured in the incident.

SPD says detectives from the Force Investigation Team, CSI, and representatives from the Office of Police Accountability and the Inspector General were all present at the scene of the shooting.
